Importing Routines

If you have a studio account you will be able to import your routines.

Step 1: Ensure your competitors exist

Before importing your routines, you need to ensure that all of your competitors exist in the system. You can do this by visiting the Competitors page and checking that all of your competitors are listed, either under your account or linked from other accounts.

Step 2: Go to the Import Routines page

Navigate to the Routines page and you will see an "Import" button at the top of the page. Click on this button to go to the Import Routines page.

Step 3: Download the import template and add your routines

To get started download the import template

For the import to work correctly you need to follow a specific format, you can download an example import file for reference as well as read the instructions below.

The following columns are required for the import to work correctly:

  • Routine Title/Name
  • Category (must be one of the following: solo, duo, trio, quartet or troupe)
  • Genre (see list of genres below)

If you are adding competitors for duo, trio, quartet or troupes you should add the first competitor on the same line as the routine and then additional competitors on the next lines. These will then be linked to the routine when you import it.

Step 4: Upload the import file

Once you have added your routines to the import template, you can upload the file by clicking on the "Upload a file" button and selecting the file you just created. This will then upload the file and map the data for you (as long as you did not edit the headings).

Mapped Routine Columns

Ensure the columns are mapped correctly and then click the "Import" button. Once the import has run you will be notified of any errors that occurred during the import. If there are no errors, you will see a success message and your routines will be imported.

INFO

If you re-import a routine that already exists it will only add new competitors to the routine, it will not update or remove any competitors that are already linked to the routine.
